Our dad, Larry Clifton Edwards, 88 of Greenville, VA, went home to Jesus on January 4, 2024. He was born in Hamlet, NC on February 4, 1935, and later settled in Virginia after graduating from North Carolina State University. Larry was a forester with the Virginia Department of Forestry for over 35 years. He loved helping landowners manage their forests and developed many life-long relationships as a result. He shared singing, playing guitar, hunting and fishing, and Jesus with many.

He is predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Anita Mae Edwards. He is survived by four children, Angie Robinson (Michael), Mark Edwards (Cindy), Cliff Edwards (Telile), and Laura Morris (Troy); eight grandchildren, Sara Venable (Gregg), Austin Robinson and Marielle Robinson, Katie Morris, Iona, Sam, Val, and Benti Edwards; and three great grandchildren, Forrest, Kaia, and Chloe Venable. He is also survived by a brother, Remus Edwards, of Tampa, Florida, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Stuarts Draft Baptist Church on April 19, 2024, at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Plant a Tree Program with the U.S. Forest Service at https://plantatree.fs.usda.gov/tree-donation.
