Kenneth G. Thompson, 83, passed away October 14, 2012. He was born in New London, Connecticut the son of the late Stella Evelyn Nichols Thompson and Lennie Thompson. He was predeceased by his sister, Sharon L. Howell and brother, Bob Thompson. Kenneth was a veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps. He later went on to work and retire as a civil engineer from the USCG. He was a member of Rock Church in Virginia Beach.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 43 years, Anne M. Thompson; daughter, Sandra G. Hurd (Richard) of Suffolk; sons, Kenneth G. Thompson, Jr. of Holden Beach, NC, Randall G. Thompson of Conway, SC, Kenneth Joel Thompson, Robert E. Anderson (Crystal) all of Chesapeake, and John D. Anderson (Kim) of Suffolk; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
