Kenneth Fillmore, 71, more affectionately known as "Pappy" to those who knew him, was called home to be with the Lord on January 17, 2016. Ken was a native of Michigan who joined the United States Navy in 1962 and retired after 23 years of service as a CW04. He then started his own business, Fillmore Enterprises, LLC, logging and sawmill operation.

Ken was predeceased by his mother Geraldine Fillmore, and a son Matthew Fillmore. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 39 years, Pamela Fillmore; their two sons, Kent Fillmore and wife, Allison, and Craig Fillmore and wife, Leigh Ann; four grandchildren, Connor, Annabelle, Carson, and Kayleigh; son Patrick Fillmore and family; daughter, Delight Fillmore and family; father, Russell Fillmore; one brother; and four sisters.

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 22, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev. Thomas-Steele Carr officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
