Obituary

Keith Nathaniel Aston, 56, passed into the loving arms of His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 14, 2024.  He was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, the son of the late Nathaniel and Dora Aston.  Keith worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation for nearly 38 years in several areas including Survey, Location and Design and Traffic Engineering.  He is a current member of Southside Baptist Church.  He was a former member of Western Branch Baptist Church where he was born, raised and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior on September 9, 1979 at the age of 12 and later served as a Deacon.   Keith could strike up a conversation with anyone and in those conversations he was passionate about sharing his love for Christ.

Keith is survived by his wife of 29 years, Margaret Hopper Aston; son, Tyler Keith Aston; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine Aston Lankford (Darrell); nephew, Nicholas Lankford and his two Boston Terriers, Oreo and Harley whom he dearly loved and were his best buddies at home.  Keith enjoyed going to the Outer Banks of North Carolina spending time at their vacation home, driving out on the beach and just relaxing.  Keith also loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.  He and Margaret traveled to Sturgis, South Dakota in 2017 for the annual motorcycle rally and were hoping to go back again in the next couple of years.  He is a Life Member of the National Harley Owners Group and a member of the local Hampton Roads Harley Owners Group.  He was a former member of the Windsor Ruritan Club.
