Kathren Louise Rhodes Sightler, 89, passed away on April 2, 2024. She was born in Isle of Wight Co, VA to the late Gertie Belle Holland and Charlie Emry Rhodes. She is also predeceased by her devoted husband of 67 years, Harvey Dean Sightler; son, Ronnie Dean Sightler Sr; sister, Esther Bowden; and brothers, Russell E. Rhodes, Gibson E. Rhodes, and Clarence H. Rhodes. Kathren worked at Obici Hospital for over 20 years as a nursing aide. She enjoyed researching family destination sites using her day's internet, the encyclopedia!

Kathren is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Phillips (Eddie); daughter in law, Cathy Kirk (Bill); grandchildren, Ronnie Sightler Jr. (Cassie) and Donnie Sightler (Lindsay); grandcat, Trixie; great grandchildren, Avalynn, Ronnie III, Gillian, and Greyson Sightler; nieces, Betty Davidson and Nelda Nowell; and nephew, Emry Rhodes.

Kathren's funeral service will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Micah Voight officiating. Burial will follow at Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery.
