Katherine Elizabeth Holland Edwards, 87, of Windsor, VA passed away November 22, 2009. She was born in Phoenix, AZ the daughter of the late William Herman Holland and Ruth Evans Stout Holland. She was predeceased by her husband, Joel Edwin Edwards. Katherine served as Deputy Clerk, Clerk of Circuit Court and retired as Clerk of Courts for Isle of Wight County. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Katherine is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Charlotte Melissa Sawyer of Atlanta, GA, Joyce Elaine Larkins and Ed Larkins of Las Vegas, NV; sons and daughter-in-law, David Russell Sawyer and Martha Sawyer of Smithfield, Richard Conrad Sawyer of Windsor, VA; Paul Edwin Edwards and Gail of Gallatin, TN; step daughter, Linda Terry and husband, George of Colonial Heights, VA; step son, Joel Allan Edwards and wife, Linda of Richmond, VA; 26 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4759 Bennetts Pasture Rd., Suffolk, VA 23435.
