Karen Ann Vaughan Pope, 54, passed away May 15, 2014. She was born in Wheeling, West Virginia the daughter of Mary Ann Vaughan and the late James E. Vaughan. She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church where she was very active and served as the captain for the Relay for Life Team, was a member of the choir, and Vacation Bible School Director. She also served as church treasurer and financial secretary. She loved to craft, sew, bake and served others with those talents.

Karen is survived by her husband of 16 years, R. Glen Pope; mother, Mary Ann Vaughan; children, Mattie A. Pope, Erin M. Gunn (Kevin), Thomas C. Pope (Kristen); grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kyleigh, and Rhiannon; sister, Jamie V. Weaver (Tommy); 4 brothers-in-law; 4 sisters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and her constant companion, "Pepper".

A graveside service will be held Monday, May 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Whaleyville United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Garland Hines officiating. Friends may join the family Sunday afternoon for a time of visitation from 3-4 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.
