June Rebecca Moore Holland, 86, passed away December 9, 2016. She was born on July 15, 1930 in Portsmouth, VA to the late Arthur Wesley Moore, Sr. and Florence Skinner Moore. June was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Clifton Hunter Holland and sister, Jean M. O'Berry. She was a retired teacher's aide with the Suffolk City School System. June was a lifetime member and Deaconess Emeritus of Liberty Spring Christian Church, Ladies Bible Class, taught nursery and was the former Chairman of the Deacon's Board and Official Board. She was also past President and a member of the Women's Fellowship, and formally served on the E.V.U.C.C. Board.

June is survived by her daughters, Linda H. Ward (Jimmy), Janet H. Britt (Joe); sons, W. Randolph Holland (Nancy), Aubrey H. Holland (Janice); grandchildren, Craig Lowell (Stacey), Michelle L. Ellis, W. Scott Holland (Paige), Cindy Devers (David), Jacob Daughtrey, Whitney Holland (Mike), Amanda Daughtrey; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Jane Womack; brother, Arthur Wesley Moore, Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Liberty Spring Christian Church, 4213 Whaleyville Boulevard, Suffolk, VA, 23434 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Allen Lancaster, and Pastors Matt Winters and Chris Surber officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr, Suffolk, VA, 23434. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Lake Prince Woods and Interim Hospice for their wonderful care.
