June B. Johnson of Suffolk, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

She was a beloved Mother and friend and will be missed by those who knew her well, especially her immediate family who she called "my pride and joy".

She was originally from Williston SC, and born to the late Nadine R. and Colie L. Bell.  She moved to Suffolk in 1962 where she raised her children and remained until her passing. She is survived by her two sons, Thomas P. Johnson, III of Washington, DC, and Craig L. Johnson of Suffolk, VA; as well as her Daughter-in-law, Joanna B. Johnson, and two grandchildren, David P. Johnson and Jack L. Johnson, all of Suffolk.  She was lovingly called "Grandmere" by her "boys" as she called them.  She also leaves behind a brother Gary Bell, of Williston, SC; and a sister, Sandra B. Campbell of Desoto, TX; as well as nieces and nephews. Her loving sister, Glenda B. Martin died in 2009.

First and foremost, she considered herself a Mother and Grandmother. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Suffolk.  She worked in a variety of settings in Suffolk, but spent many years at Anderson Bonding, Co., of Suffolk where she was an Office Manager, covering many aspects of the local business.  In her spare time she enjoyed cooking and socializing with close local friends and neighbors she'd known over the many decades.

A celebration of life service will be held Monday, January 23, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Richard L.
