On Monday, July 10th, Jesus reached down and embraced Judy Ann Branch "GaGa" Powell, 80, from her home in Zuni, Va to her eternal home in Heaven. Judy was born in Newport News, VA to the late Helen Horton Mitchell and Richard Harold Branch. She is also predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Robert McCauley Powell Sr, and sister, Nell Jeanette Branch Crocker. Judy was a secretary for the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Commerce. She attended Believers Church in Suffolk.

Judy is survived by her son, Robert M. "Robbie" Powell Jr; grandchildren, Richard Andrew Powell, Joseph Willis "Joey" Powell and wife, Leigh, and Robert Brandon Powell; great grandchildren, Abby, Emma, Easton, and Nora; and sister, Linda Sue Branch Bowden and husband, Rufus.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory with her son, Robbie Powell officiating. Graveside will follow the service at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, July 14, 2023 at the funeral home.
