Judson "Honey" Weldon Griffin, 77, of Suffolk, Virginia passed away October 5, 2008. He was born in Nansemond County the son of the late Bernice Brinkley Griffin and Jessie Staley Griffin. He was also predeceased by his sister, Jessie Earl Eure. Judson was a veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps. He retired after 47 years as the meat manager for A & P and was a member of the Commercial Food Workers Union. He was a member of Suffolk Christian Church and the Baraca Men's Class. He served faithfully as a deacon and usher for many years.

Judson is survived by his wife of 51 years Barbara Ann Griffin of Suffolk, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Victor Jay and Melinda Rose Griffin of Williamsburg, VA; step son, Edward W. Britt, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA; granddaughter, Ann Carter Griffin of Suffolk, VA; grandson, Edward W. Britt, III of Virginia Beach, VA; great granddaughter, Harleigh Britt of Virginia Beach; sister and brother-in-law, Carrie L. and Jim Campbell of Alachua, Fl.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Suffolk Christian Church with Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating. Burial will following at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family Tuesday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA and other times at the residence.
