Judith Ann "Judy" "Nana" Paxton Copeland, 75, passed away October 28, 2020.  Judy was born on January 8, 1945 in Haywood Co., NC, to the late Garland William and Bonnie Barker Paxton.  She was the Co-Owner and Business Manager of Copeland Investments. Judy was a member of the Portsmouth First Church of the Nazarene.  She was the church bookkeeper for many years and a Sunday School teacher of the toddler's class.  She is predeceased by sisters, June, Martha and Mickey.

Judy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Horton Dempsey Copeland, Jr.; loving daughter, Tiffani Danielle Dengel (Blake); precious darling granddaughters, Tiara Danielle Dengel, Trista Danielle Dengel; step-daughter, Renee' Copeland Wright (Wade); grandchildren, Wade Alan Wright, Jr., (Courtney), Leah Renee' Wright; great grandchild, Waylan Edward Wright; brother, Jimmy Paxton (Susan); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Monday, November 2, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev. Ken Rice and Rev. Nathan Rice officiating.  Burial will follow in the James Henry Copeland Family Cemetery in Tyner, NC.  Visitation will be at the funeral home,  Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Portsmouth First Church of the Nazarene, 2512 Barclay Avenue, Portsmouth, VA 23702.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
