Joyce Elmore Eley, 88, passed away August 5, 2018.  She was born in Rocky Mount, NC the daughter of the late Albert and Nora Fly Elmore.  She was predeceased by her first husband, Andrew Manley Pierce; and second husband, Frederick Nelms Eley.  She was also predeceased by her daughter, Pamela Pierce; son, Andrew M. Pierce, Jr.; sister, Vernell Delbridge; brothers, Milton and Russell Elmore; and step son, Gregory Eley.  Joyce retired after working numerous years in banking.  She was a member of Antioch Church in Windsor, VA.

Joyce is survived by her brother, Alton G. Elmore; step daughter, Angela Douglas Summer; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends, Jamie and Mary Sue MacKenzie, and Collin MacKenzie.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Pineview Cemetery in Rocky Mount, NC with the Rev. Larry W. Bradley officiating.  A visitation will be held Monday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home in Suffolk, VA.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Antioch Church Missions Fund, P.O.
