Joyce Anne Humphrey Byrd, 63, of Corapeake, NC passed away May 20, 2021.  She was born in Nansemond County, VA the daughter of the late Vance and Shirley Ann Turner Humphrey.  She was predeceased by her brother, William A. Humphrey.  Joyce was a United States Army Veteran.  She volunteered at the Upper Room Assembly Church and Hope Fellowship.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 30 years, Harold Ray Byrd; son, Henry Vance Byrd; sisters, Carolyn Sue Humphrey, and Alice Payne (Lee); and brother, Eddie Vance Humphrey (Lucille).

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 24, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Tim Rawls officiating.  Burial will follow at Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Sunday night from 6-7 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
