Joy Lou Rogers Hudson, 80, died peacefully in her sleep on the evening of Monday, June 3, 2019 after her valiant fight with Alzheimer's.

She was born to the late Jerrel Rogers and Marguerite Smith, in Vinita, OK. She married her high school sweetheart, James J. Hudson Sr. on October 14, 1956 in Vinita, OK. They were married for 56 blissful years and raised three beautiful children. He preceded her in death on August 19, 2012. She was also predeceased by her two precious "angels", her daughters, Vicki Lynn and Cynthia Lee.

She proudly retired as a Resource Manager with the Air Education and Training Command at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. After retirement, she dedicated her life to being a Grandma, traveling in their motorhome and enjoying her life. She had an amazing life full of fun, laughter and love. She will be greatly missed by all.

Joy is survived by her sons, James J. Hudson Jr. and wife, Maria of Zuni, VA and Mark A. Hudson of Alpine, TX, daughter, Cheryl F. Grimmett and husband, Todd of Rockwall, TX; grandchildren, Patricia Orilio, Danny, Emma Joy and Luke Hudson, Matthew Bowen and Sydney, Jack and Wyatt Stovall; great grandsons, Jonathan and Alex Orilio; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends.

Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's Association in her honor.
