By the grace of our loving Father and Savior, our precious little angel is completely healed from his afflictions. Josijah Jamir Porter, 6, peacefully transitioned, in the comfort of his bed, on August 19, 2024 from a rare type of childhood brain cancer. He was safely surrounded by adoring family members, his mommy holding his right hand and his nana holding his left. Josijah was born in Norfolk, VA, the son of Tiffany Leanne Cuffee and Sheldon Marcus Porter. He loved attending ABA therapy prior to his cancer diagnosis and enjoyed listening to all kinds of nursery rhymes and kiddie songs. His favorites songs were Wheels on the Bus; Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes; and Patty cake. He spent a lot of fun time playing with his wood blocks and blowing bubbles.

In addition to his mother and father, Josijah is survived by his siblings, Jada Asberry, Alijah Porter, and Izaiah Porter; grandparents, Carolyn and Larry Dennis; and aunts, Brittany Dennis and Tamera Dennis.

Josijah's life was short, but the joy he brought to his family and to those who were blessed to know him was immeasurable.

Services were private; however, Memorial donations may be made to the EDMARC Memorial Foundation, Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters, St. Jude Brain Tumor Program, or Autism Speaks.
