Joseph is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Ellen Scully Verdi of Suffolk; his father, Joseph A. Verdi; 3 sons, Michael Scully and Beth of Suffolk, Joseph M. Verdi, Jr. and Monica of Leesburg, and Steven J. Verdi of Suffolk; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 1 sister and 1 brother.
