Joseph "Joe" Leon Mitterer, 66, passed away December 23, 2017.  He was born in Richmond, VA the son of Thelma Estelle Redford Mitterer and the late Arthur Rudolph Mitterer.  He was predeceased by his son, Chris Mitterer.  Joe worked as a maintenance supervisor for C.I. Associates.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and metal detecting.

Joe is survived by his daughters, Tracie Penicook, Brenda Mason (Art), and Jennifer Mitterer; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Beverly, Susie, and Ann Marie; and brothers, Bobby and Michael.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev.
