Joseph Lee Butts, 20, of Suffolk, VA passed away January 27, 2008. He was born in Suffolk, VA. He worked in construction and attended Western Branch Baptist Church.

He is survived by his mother, Sherri Butts McNeely of Texas; father and step-mother, Dudley Joe Edwards, Jr. and Kristie Edwards of Suffolk, VA; son, Mason Jones; paternal grandparents, Dudley J. Edwards, Sr. and Frances Edwards; maternal grandfather, Lucky Duke; paternal great grandmother, Mary Leggett Joyner; sisters, Chelsea McNeely and Britany Edwards; step brother, Ricky Walker; aunts, Lisa Copeland and Christine Butts.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Western Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Steven R. Hills officiating.
