Joseph Alfred Bradshaw, 91, passed away on September 23, 2024. He was born in Nansemond County, VA to the late Annie Florence Bland and John Ernest Bradshaw. He is also predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Ann Todd Bradshaw; son, Jim Perry; and 11 siblings. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was proud of his service to his country and would always thank his fellow veterans too. He worked as a paper mill processor for Union Camp. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Chesapeake, VA. Being a simple man, Alfred enjoyed riding the back country roads admiring the farmland, and waving at folks while sitting on his front porch.

Alfred is survived by his daughter, Lou Ann Braswell (Ricky); granddaughter, Ashley Riposa Wimberley (Sean); great granddaughter, Skylar Ann Wimberley; brother, Russell Bradshaw (Terrye); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alfred's funeral service with military honors will be 11:00 am, Thursday, October 3, 2024 with Pastor Gib Hale presiding in the Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Chapel followed by a private burial.
