Johnny Ray Shorter, 62, passed away on October 10, 2024. Born in Virginia Beach, VA, he was the son of the late Clyde Willard Shorter and Margaret McGuire Shorter. He was predeceased by his sisters, Shirley Walton, Doris Riley, and Lois Criswell. Johnny retired after 30 years of service in HVAC and Electrical work. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing on a boat in the middle of a lake. He was dedicated to working, having fun, and taking care of his kids.

Johnny is survived by his children, Johnny R. Shorter, Jr., Sylvia Danielle Shorter, and Aaron Michael Shorter; his grandson, A.J. Kovacs; and his brother, C.W. Shorter.
