Johnnie Lee Rawls, Jr., 58, passed away March 16, 2013. He was born in Suffolk, VA the son of the late Dorothy Ann Johnson Rawls and Johnnie Lee Rawls, Sr. Johnnie worked as a Construction Supervisor for BeCo of Chesapeake. He served as a Pack Leader for the Cub Scouts Troop # 37 in Carrsville, VA. He loved to play music and played in numerous bands throughout his life.

Johnnie is survived by his wife of 36 years, Ina M. Rawls; daughters, Ashley Leigh Rawls and Amanda Lynn Rawls; grandchildren, Cody Lewis Brown and Ashlyn Leigh Brown; sister and brother-in-law, JoAnne Rawls Harrell and Walter Harrell; mother-in-law, Ina Doris Green; sister-in-law, Susan Chaney; brothers-in-law, Gordon and Shade Green; nephews, Brandon Chaney, Ryan Chaney, Webb Green, and Perry Rawls Harrell.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Charles Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Wednesday night from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence. A celebration of Johnnie's life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Magnolia Ruritan Club from 4 - 11 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Cub Scouts Pack #37 c/o Phillip Bradshaw at 31111 Colosse Rd., Carrsville, VA 23315.
