Johnnie Wayne Hedgepeth, 75, passed away May 8, 2017.  He was born in Isle of Wight County, VA the son of the late Johnnie F. and Lucille P. Hedgepeth.  He was predeceased by his sister, Shelby Ellis.  Wayne farmed with his father and co-owned Hedgepeth Brother's Farms. He was a lifelong member of Bethany Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and Trustee.  He was also a member of the Zuni Ruritan Club and Zuni Hunt Club.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judith A. Hedgepeth; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Tony Garrett; son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Jamie Hedgepeth; grandchildren, Dustin Carr, Trent Garrett, Troy Hedgepeth, Jr., and D.J. Murphy; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Debbie Hedgepeth; and extended family, Ed and Brenda Phillips, Bobby and Kay Fowler.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. John Hartman officiating.  Burial will follow at Southampton Memorial Park.  Friends may join the family for a visitation Tuesday night from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence.  Memorial donations may be made to Bethany Presbyterian Church.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
