John Ronald "Ronnie" Wilkins, 56, of Suffolk, VA passed away March 11, 2008. He was born in Nansemond County the son of the late James Henry Wilkins and Ruby Nell Worley Wilkins. John was a former welder for Magco, Inc. and was a member of Whaleyville United Methodist Church.

John is survived by his fiancé of 12 years, Roberta J. Rogers of Suffolk; daughters and sons-in-law, April Lynn W. and Melvin Edwards of Suffolk, Angela Nichole W. and Shane Johnson of Corapeake, NC; son and daughter-in-law, John and Karisa DeVaul of Suffolk; step children, Roberta J. Olang of Oregon, OH, Jack L. Simpson, Jr. and Johnny L. Simpson, Sr. both of Suffolk; thirteen grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Rose Marie W. Collins and George T. Smith; brother and sister-in-law, Herman Wayne Wilkins and Polly all of Suffolk.

A graveside service will be held Friday, March 14, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. George Griffin officiating. Friends may join the family Thursday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA and other times at the residence of Roberta Rogers.
