John Thomas Parker, Sr., 80, passed away April 30, 2015. He was born in Nansemond County, VA the son of the late Seth and Sarah Sue Parker. He was a United States Army veteran. He later went on to work and retire as a truck driver. He was a member of the Suffolk Moose Lodge #141.

John is survived by his sons, John T. Parker, Jr. and Gene Parker; special friend, Frances Jones; sister, Ola P. Drewry; brother, Harold G. Parker (Nancy).

A funeral service will be held Monday, May4, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Suffolk Moose Lodge #141 at 675 Turlington Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434 with Greg Hammer officiating. Entombment will follow at Nansemond Suffolk Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at the Moose Lodge.
