John "Mike" Michael Taylor, 73, of Suffolk, VA went to be with his HEAVENLY FATHER, Sunday, January 8, 2023.  Mike was born August 8, 1949, in St. Petersburg, Florida to Arrel Baxter Taylor, Sr. and Sadie Jane Adams.  Mike is predeceased by his wife Sandra F. Taylor and his great niece Bethany Rose Beamon.

Left to cherish his memory are his brother, A.B. "Butch" Taylor, Jr.; sister, Patricia G. Weaver (Donald); nephews, James A. "Andy" Beamon, Donald B. Taylor; great nieces, Chelsea A. Beamon, Piper A. Beamon and great nephew Jonathan D. Beamon.

Many thanks to his caregiver Rudolph "Rudy" Bailey for his unwavering devotion to Mike and our family.  Rudy referred to Mike as "My Little Brother".  Thanks to Nita and Leon Jenkins of Heavenly Home for supporting Mike's desire to remain at home.  Thanks to Holly, RN and Rebecca, RN at Amedisys Hospice for their support.  Blessings to all that have helped each of us and Mike's loving, gentle and caring nurse at Obici, Emily Kyne, RN.  All were angels that stood by our side.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Barbara Alexander officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parr Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses.
