John Wayles
Eppes Hubard
March 17, 1934 – October 1, 2019
John Wayles Eppes Hubard, 85, passed away October 1, 2109. He was born in Farmville, VA the son of the late Edmund Wilcox Hubard and Willie Kuper Stebbins Hubard. He was the youngest of 5 children. He is survived by his wife, son, daughter, his beloved dog Teddy; and 13 nieces and nephews. He had many friends and way about him that welcomed everyone!
He graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He retired from the United States Coast Guard as a Lieutenant Commander and then worked for the Civil Service taking care of lighthouses and buoys (about which he was very passionate/knowledgeable). Another passion of his was growing Orchids for which he won awards from the Orchid Society.
He attended the Forum at the Association for Research and Enlightenment and was active in Dousing Groups, the International Association for Near Death Studies and the Kempsville Lions Club. John's family and friends said that he was the Master of Vitamins and Supplements. Many friends called him "Dr. John".
A Celebration of Life Service was held at the Fellowship for Inner Light in Virginia Beach and graveside with Military Honors in Suffolk, Virginia. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com .
