John Otha Dallas Cushing, Sr., 64, passed away March 10, 2024.  John was born in Trenton, NJ the son of the late Frances Wallace Cushing and Martha Jean Barnhart. He is predeceased by his sister, Wanda Gonzales.  John retired after 26 years of service as a security guard.  He was a member of Suffolk Bible Baptist Church and was a member of the Soul Winning Outreach program.  John was a U.S. Army veteran.

John is survived by his son, John Otha Dallas Cushing, Jr., sister, Cathy C. Starr, and brothers, Frank W. Cushing, Tom E. Cushing.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Suffolk Bible Baptist Church, 510 E. Pinner Street, Suffolk, VA 23434 with Pastor Andrew Logue officiating.
