John Henry Bryant, Iii's Obituary
John Henry Bryant, III, 72, of Carrollton, VA passed away on April 3, 2010. A native of Newport News, VA he was the son of the late John Henry Bryant, Jr. and Margaret Boyd Bryant. He retired after 30 years of service working in Management at Verizon. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church; Smithfield Kiwanis Club; and the Barbershop Harmony Society.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hines Bryant of Carrollton; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth B. Smith (Chris) of Rockford, IL; a son and daughter-in-law John H. Bryant, IV (Dawn) of Walkersville, MD; four grandchildren: Zachary and Riley Krueger and John and Kelly Bryant; a sister, Stella Borik of San Diego and a brother, Blanton Bryant of Bedford, VA.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 11 a.m. at historic St. Luke's Church, with Rev. Gary Barker officiating. Burial will follow at St. Luke's Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Smithfield Kiwanis Club, earmarked for the Kiwanis Children's Christmas Fund, P. O. Box 143, Smithfield, VA 23431.
