Joel Dean Bell, 79, passed away July 5, 2015. He was born in Alamance County, NC the son of the late Olan V. and Evelyn M. Bell. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Ann Jeannette Caddy Bell; and brothers, Donald and Buddy Bell. He was a United States Navy veteran. He later went on to work as a truck driver for the Hampton Roads Box Company.

Joel is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Linda L. and Billy L. Daniels, Brenda G. and William A. Durden, Sr., Pat A. and Mike L. Fowler; son and daughter-in-law, James Dean and Tracy Bell; four grandchildren, William Durden, Jr., Brandon Bell, Corinna Bell, William Daniels, Jr.; one great grandchild, Cheyanne Ashley; sisters, Jody Bell, Carole McCullough; brothers, Allen and Danny Bell.

A graveside service will be held Friday, July 10, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dr. Donald Ray Jones officiating. Friends may join the family for a visitation Thursday night from 7- 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence of Linda and Billy Daniels.
