Joe Wilson Baines, 93, passed away October 9, 2012. He was born in Nansemond County, VA the son of the late Daisy Belle Eason Baines and Joseph Hurley Baines. He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn Blanche Jones Baines; his sister, Lucille Knight; and brothers, Talmadge, Ray, and David Baines. Joe retired as a farmer. He was a member of World Wide Church of God in Norfolk, VA.

Joe is survived by his sisters, Daisy Bailey and Nancy Copeland; brother, Aaron Baines; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margaret and Herman Davidson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday, October 15, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Baines Family Cemetery with Rev. Allen Lancaster officiating. Friends may join the family Monday prior to the service at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. for a time of visitation.
