Joan Marie Lankford, 70, passed away May 11, 2018.  She was born in Isle of Wight County, VA the daughter of the late Lawrence Elmo Holland and Elma Marie Rhodes Holland.  She was predeceased by her brothers, James "Buddy" Holland, Lawrence "Toby" Holland, Laughton Holland, and Frank Holland.  Joan worked as a waitress at Floyd's Bar & Grill for numerous years.  She loved fishing and playing cards.

Joan is survived by her sisters, Ann Edwards (Steve)of Windsor, VA, Mary Hopkins of Windsor, VA, Jean Gay (Johnny) of Chesapeake, VA; brothers, Glenn Holland of Maine, David Holland of Windsor, VA, Marshall Holland of Eastern Shore, and William R. Holland (Diane) of Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and faithful friend, Mike McConnell.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Robert Cofield officiating.  Burial will be held at Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com .
