Jo Anne Sayers Rowland, 81 of Thomasville passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday November 5, 2020. Jo Anne was born September 1, 1939 to the late Thedford D. Sayers and Exie Webb Sayers in Tazwell County, Virginia. Jo Anne worked many years in the healthcare industry as a Respiratory Therapist. She always enjoyed fishing. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rowland, Sr. on December 3, 2018; one sister, Nancy Boyd; one brother, John Cunningham Sayers; one brother-in-law, John Ralph Boyd.

Surviving are two sons, Gary Duane Dye and wife Rose and Thomas Dye; she also leaves behind many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Gardner officiating. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com .
