Jimmy Neil Smith, aged 87, passed away on January 18, 2025. Born in Kitzmiller, Maryland, he was the beloved son of the late Marie Moon and James Smith. A proud veteran, Neil served in the US Navy and retired with distinction as a Chief Petty Officer.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Jerry Elaine McClung Smith; his daughter, Gwen Da Silva and her husband, Dean; his son Brian Smith; and his cherished grandchildren, Michael, Alyssa, and Savannah. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Gemma, Finley, and Easton; and his brother, Gene Smith and his wife, Nita.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Bubba Pugh officiating. Condolences may be posted on parrfuneralhome.com.
