Jethro Jordan "JJ" Byrd Jr, 76, of Suffolk, VA, passed away on April 24, 2021. He was born in Nansemond Co, VA to the late Grace Inez Ellis and Jethro Byrd. He is also predeceased by his brothers, Rudolph, Fred and William Byrd. He was the owner and operator of Jethro Byrd Electric & Plumbing Co.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Sheila Renee McKibben (David), Scarlet Tara Byrd and Summer Courtney Byrum (Jason); son, Tony Jordan Byrd; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Betty B. Knight; and loving companion of 5 years, Jennie Lanthorn.

Jethro's funeral service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Tim Rawls officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm, Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Wilroy Baptist Church.
