Obituary

Jesse Worth Redd, 60, passed away March 2, 2012. He was born in Suffolk, VA to M.A. and the late Jeanette Redd. Redd was a United States Marine veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He worked in fleet management for the city of Suffolk. Redd was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church, Byrum Hunt Club, Southampton Coon and Squirrel Club, and NWTF Nansemond Long Spurs.

In addition to his father, Redd is survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna Redd; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle Kizer and Kenny Yowell; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky Kizer and Christie Kizer; grandchildren, Christian, Riley, Reese, Michaela, and Reagan; sister, Gloria Edwards; and canine companion Sissy Lee.

A funeral service with military honors will be held Monday, March 5, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Western Branch Baptist Church, 6952 Old Myrtle Rd., Suffolk, VA 23434, with Rev. Micah Voight officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr. Suffolk, VA 23434. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Western Branch Baptist Church. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
