Jesse Henry Nance, 73, passed away October 13, 2015. He was born in Martinsville, VA the son of the late Ernest and Ruth Nance. He was predeceased by his brother, Jerry Nance. Jesse was a veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps. He later went on to work as a shipfitter at Colonna's Shipyard, Inc. He was also a well known country musician in the area.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Sandy M. Nance; daughters, Laurie Nance and Margaret Meynardie (Kevin); sons, Christopher Delaraga and Joel Williams; grandchildren, Matthew, Madison, Maggie, and Mariana; sister, Linda Green; brother, Bobby Nance; and nieces, Elizabeth and Chrissy.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 12:15 p.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Tim Rawls officiating.
