Jennifer Gail Outland, 60, loving mother, sister, daughter and companion, passed away peacefully at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital on August 11, 2010. She was a devoted member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and dedicated most of her life to helping others.

Jennifer Gail leaves to cherish her memory, her three loving children, William C. "Bill" Holton, Jr., Lori Panther Finck, and Angela M. Brandt; her father, J. C. Outland; her brother, John H. Outland and his wife Sherry; her brother-in-law, Petro Ficare; three grandchildren, Brandon, Jenna and Drew; two nieces, Amber and Sarah; and her long time best friend and companion, Chuck Piner. She was predeceased by her mother, Virginia H. Outland and her sister, Joyce O. Ficare, both of whom she loved dearly and is now reunited with.

A funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, by the Rev. Jim George with burial to follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434, on Friday, August 13, 2010 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. and other times at the residence of John and Sherry Outland.

The family would like to thank all those who have been there for Jennifer during her courageous battles with diabetes, cancer and heart disease.
