Janie Lucy Phelps, 92, passed away February 1, 2017.  She was born in Corapeake, NC the daughter of the late Herbert and Florence Jones.  She was predeceased by her husbands, Joseph Henry Duke and William E. Phelps; brothers and sisters, Josephine Riddick, Lena Quimby, James Herbert, Milton, and Frank Jones; and step-son, Joseph H. Duke, Jr.  Janie formerly worked at Roses and for Stanley Home Products.  She was a member of the Salvation Army and  Women of the Moose #1315.

Janie is survived by her sister, Evelyn Pitscheneder and her husband Rudolf; cousin, David Gale; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday, February 3, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Chaplain Tommy Reynolds officiating.  Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
