Mr. James Edward White, Jr., 69, peacefully passed away on February 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 6, 1954, in Suffolk, Virginia, to the late James E. White, Sr. and Bernice B. Welch.

James graduated from Suffolk High School and attended Old Dominion University. He retired as an engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding after 33 years of service.

James is survived by his two daughters, Kitty Camper, and her husband Mark, and Amy White, his brother, Tom Bradshaw, and his wife, Laurie Bradshaw. His two grandchildren, Ziven Lopez-White and Phoenix Lopez-White, and cousins Cheryl Saunders and Keith Saunders.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, with Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery.
