James "Jimmy" R. Billups, Sr., 72, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019.  He was born on June 7, 1946 to the late Jasper and Minnie Billups of Zuni.

Left to cherish his memory of 49 years is his wife, Rachel B. Billups; his three children, James "Jay" Billups, Jr. (Stacey), Cindy Seal (George), and Thomas "Tom" Billups (Michelle); and four grandchildren, Jayton Billups, Bailey and Sydney "Baby Cousin" Faison, and Hunter Billups.

He was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, Zuni Hunt Club, and past member of Tucker Swamp and Ivor Hunt Clubs.  He was a retired farmer and loved bluegrass music along with westerns.  His love for the outdoors extends into his children and grandchildren.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church with Rev. Curt Faison officiating.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at the church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to offset expenses.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
