James "J.J." Joseph Dimmer, Jr., 73, passed away November 30, 2018.  He was born in Toledo, OH the son of the late James Joseph Dimmer, Sr. and Marie Kowalski Dimmer.  J.J. retired after 23 years as a United States Navy veteran having served during Vietnam.  He was a member of the Military Order of Cooties Pup Tent # 11, V.F.W. Post #4411 in Franklin, VA, American Legion Post #73, and D.A.V. Chapter #5.

J.J. is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia Ann Werner Dimmer; sons, Michael P. Dimmer, James J. Dimmer, III, and Matthew E. Dimmer (Amy); grandchildren, Isaac, Luke, Will, Gabe, Cody, and Cassidy; great grandchildren, Isaiah and Zoah; and sister, Corrine.

A graveside memorial service will be held Monday, December 10, 2018 at 12 p.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery with Chaplain Tim Cormany officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
