Obituary

James Lee "Jimbo" Warren, 62, of Orbit, VA, a well respected utility contractor in the Tidewater area for over 40 years, died peacefully at home on Sunday morning, December 18, 2011. He was born on February 4, 1949 in Richmond, VA and grew up in Hampton, attending Hampton High. "Jimbo" spent many years around the Chuckatuck community acting as a volunteer firefighter and was an Elks Lodge #685 member in Suffolk. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Harriette Warren and his brother John.

"Jimbo" is survived by his wife, Barbara Draffin Warren of Windsor; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen Warren and Hampton Miller; a son and daughter-in-law, James Andrew and Kathy Warren, all of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren: Alexander and William Rodman and Grayson and Harper Warren; brother, Francis "Dusty" Warren; two sisters-in-law: Kathy Draffin and Janie Walters; three nieces: Elizabeth Bracey, Jerimie Harrell and Micki Walters; and one nephew, John Walters.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tommy Reynolds officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to breast cancer research through Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Tidewater chapter, 5295 Greenwich Road, Suite 105, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
