James Robert "Jim" Lassiter, 46, passed away January 23, 2018. He was the son of the late James Sherill and Anne Robey Burns Lassiter. Jim was a welder at Dynamic Towing Equipment and Manufacturing. He was a member of Suffolk Bible Baptist Church. Jim was a member of the class of 1989 at John F. Kennedy High School where he played football and was a member of the Suffolk Swim Team.

Jim is survived by his son, James "Little Jim" Roland Lassiter; mother of his son, Renee Roland Humphries; and sister, Brooke Marie Lassiter DeBrango.

A celebration of life service will be held at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434 on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Andrew Logue, Sr., officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until service time. A private family inurnment will be held at Holly Lawn Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Suffolk Bible Baptist Church at www.suffolkbaptistchurch.com. The family will receive friends at the residence at other times.
