James Jay Hudson, Sr. (Jim), 75, passed away August 19, 2012 in the comfort of his home with his family at his side. He was born in Blue Jacket, OK the son of the late Ester Dixon and James Justin Hudson. He retired as a CMSGT in the United States Air Force after serving 33 years on active duty at locations around the world. After retirement he taught 1st grade at Braun Station Elementary School in San Antonio, TX.

Jim is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joy L. Hudson of Zuni, VA; son James J. Hudson, Jr. and wife Maria of Zuni, VA, son Mark A. Hudson and wife Kim of Larado, TX, daughter Cheryl F. Stovall of Dallas, TX; grandchildren Patricia and Adam Orilio, Danny Hudson, Emma Joy Hudson, Luke Hudson, Matthew Bowen, Sydney Stovall, Jack Stovall, Wyatt Stovall; and great-grandson Jonathan Orilio.

A memorial service will be held at the Highland Park Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, TX. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.
