James Woodfin Hogan, 82, of Suffolk, VA passed away November 14, 2015. He was born in Charlottesville, VA to the late Walter and Hazel Hogan. He worked as an electrical and plumbing contractor and was a member of the Lucky 18 Hunt Club in Marlinton, WV.
James is survived by his wife of 60 years, Hannah Hogan; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Michael Lassiter; sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Elaine Hogan, and Walter and Arlene Hogan; grandchildren, J.W. Hogan, Amber Harrell, Bill Hogan, Alexandra Hogan, Olivia Lassiter; step-granddaughters, Jessica Badger and Lacy Powell; great grandchildren, Trinity Harrell, Naomi Harrell, Thomas Hogan, and Liv Hogan; brother and sister-in-law, David and JoAnn Hogan; and running partner, Kenny Snuffer.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Nansemond Suffolk Cemetery, 1421 Kings Fork Rd., Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev. Don Milner officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr. Suffolk, VA 23434.
