James Ralph Collins, 87, of Suffolk, VA passed away April 15, 2015. He was born in Greenville County, SC to the late James W. and Essie K. Collins. Ralph retired after 21 years in the U.S. Navy having served during WWII, Korea, and Vietnam.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 62 years, Doris Cutrell Collins; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ronnie Brickhouse; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Petra Collins and Tommy and Lorraine Collins; grandchildren, Alan Collins, Stephanie Blaue, Sarah Brickhouse, James Brickhouse, Eden, Leah, Cameron, and Rachel Collins; great grandchild, Hudson Blaue; sisters, Evelyn Thompson, Helen Tucker, Lucille Rothell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Drew Mountcastle officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
