James Thomas Carr, 81, of Suffolk, VA passed away June 11, 2016. He was born in Isle of Wight County to the late James and Tena Carr. He retired after 38 years of working at Union Camp on the #2 paper machine. He was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church where he served on the board of ushers, the fellowship club, and the Joyce Anne Harrell Sunday school class.

James, a devoted son, husband, and father is survived by his wife of 58 years, Corine Oliver Carr; daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Carr; son, James Oliver Carr (John); grandchildren, Taylor Rhee´ Carr and Matthew Scott Carr; and great grandson, Jayden Brown.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr. Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev. Wayne Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence.
