James Lilton "Buddy" Gay, 81, passed away January 1, 2018.   He was born in Suffolk, VA, to the late Lilton and Bernice Carr Gay. Buddy was predeceased by four brothers and one sister. He was a retired paver with Peninsula Paving.

Buddy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lois Ann Cornett Gay; daughters, Brenda A. Hedgepeth (Lewis), Patricia Spivey (Tony), Tammy M. Simpson (Kendall); son, James "Bubba" Gay; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren with one on the way.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery, 6361 Rhodes Dr., Windsor, VA 23487 with Pastor Mandy Newman officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation Friday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA.
