Obituary

James Robert Arnot, 77, of Fort Meyers, Florida, formerly of Suffolk, Virginia, passed away on November 6, 2020. He was born in Albany, New York to the son of the late William K. Arnot and Helen Adams Arnot. He retired from Lipton Tea.  James served in the United States Navy in Vietnam from 1965-67. He was a member of Holy Neck Christian Church. James was also a member of the V.F.W. 10097, American Legion Post 130, and the Moose Lodge #964. He is predeceased by his grandson, Brandon Mitchell.

James is survived by his wife, Betty Oakley Arnot; daughters and sons-in-law, Leah Denise A. Mitchell (Navy Veteran), Tambre A. and Quinton Biddle, Loren A. and Brian Smith; son, James S. Arnot; and 12 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev, Tim Cormany officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Albert G. Horton Veterans Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Sunday from 3 - 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
